God of War 2
Although I have seriously limited time to play games, the trailer to this one even makes me want to pick up PS2 just to play it. The last time I had this urge was when Halo came out on the Xbox.
Judging from the trailer the game looks excellent, even on the new much older PS2.

Smart Label
The prediction made by John Underkoffler (MIT) that everything will have it’s own interactive display, as seen in the movie Minority Report, has made a first step. Liteon has made Smartlabels for consumer goods like milkcontainers, indicating the age of the contained milk. “The Smart Label is applied with a ‘disappearing ink’ technique that disappears through oxidization. Different colours will appear on the Smart Label over time, as the food draws near its expiry time, thus indicating the quality of the product. It is a form of management over the quality of food, which is independent and controlled by real time, assuring the trust and confidence of consumers in the product. As the Smart Label changes its icon, it can also reflect the corresponding discount price of the product, saving time and money for the consumer.” Yes this is still miles away from the ads-screaming cerial breakfast-boxes, but it seems like a good step in the acceptance by the consumer.

Clerks 2
Ok, hold the phone/posts/jobs/reports/essays and all that stuff: Kevin Smith is making/has made Clerks 2!
Since most of the people I know have been, at one time or another, forced to see Clerks (OK, that was also me. Sorry Mo: I know you’re my boss and everything…) I can asume you all know the film (or flic in Kevin-speak). And Kevin Smith has made/is making a sequel to it: Clerks 2! And I even used a second exclamation wich I know is a sign for really too much excitement!
Will this be any better?
OK, I admit it: installing WordPress locally didn’t work, despite it’s really clear install-guide. The access to the MySQL-server was just constantly hindered by some setting. I could have asked Jelmer about this but IT and asking for help just doesn’t go together.
To get around this I tried to get the blogger working on blogger.com, but seeing I’ve got some long rants I needed to get the posts split. And this is where blogger lacks in functionality.
